KIMBERLY + JAMES: RUMSON
In August I shared a sneak peek at Kim and Jim’s fabulous wedding day, and now I’m back to fill in some of the wonderful details of the day. Kim was stunning in a Lazaro silk satin trumpet bridal gown with Alençon lace appliques, a ribbon belt and chapel train with a finger tip veil all from Mustillo’s Town and Country, Red Bank. I just adored her Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby d’Orsay pumps with jeweled brooches! The classic gilt edged ecru wedding invitation with a lovely Prussian blue ribbon was from The Write Impression, Fair Haven. Koch’s Florist, Middletown, provided all the florals.
Kim and Jim’s ceremony took place at the charming
Holy Cross Church in Rumson.
I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding with one of my favorite second photographers,
Brandi Grooms Johnson. Her images from the choir loft truly captured some some very special moments.
The bridesmaids, including Jim’s three beautiful daughters, wore
Jim Hjelm strapless satin-faced taffeta trumpet bridesmaid gowns in jasper that had a gathered neckline that tied at back with long sashes and I loved when they blew in the wind.
I just love Brandi’s shot of the wedding party at the Casino on the Asbury Park Boardwalk!
After our mad dash through portraits in Asbury Park we headed to Eagle Oaks Golf and County Club for dinner and dancing to the sounds of Mission Dance! It was wonderful to see my my friend, Ed Foley, the Eagle Oaks banquet manager! Pastry chef, Amelia, made the most magnificent cake.
After a romantic first dance to Bon Jovi’s
Thank You For Loving Me, and parent dances, Jim surprised Kim with a serenade of Bruce Springsteen’s
If I Should Fall Behind. I still get goosebumps when I think of this moment and also wish I had a
Nikon D3S with HD Video Capability.
Mission Dance rocked the house!

C. Drake - I love these photos. I particularly like the blue tone to many of them – matches the theme. Great job.
