HOLIDAY DEADLINES 2011

The holiday season is right around the corner and I just wanted to announce that the deadline for card and print orders is Monday, November 28. Orders placed after that date will be charged a rush fee and will not be guaranteed delivery before the holiday. As a complimentary service to my portrait clients I will provide a fully retouched digital file to Tiny Prints or Minted provided an 8 x 10 portrait or larger of that file has been purchased. For my weddings clients, I will gift you a fully retouched digital file for your holiday cards.

I love how simple the process is! Visit either my Tiny Prints storefront or Minted storefront and select a card design. In the “Special Instructions” area on the Preview page indicate that I’ll be submitting the photo on your behalf. Place your order, then get in touch with me with your order number and which photo you’d like to be used in the card. Then I’ll go into your order and upload the photo. It’s that easy! A proof of the design will be sent to you for your approval and then you’re finished! It’s that easy!

I just love these designs for custom press printed and photo holiday cards!

‘Tis the season! I’m so happy that the holiday season is here and just wanted to announce that the deadline for card and print orders is Sunday, December 12. Orders placed after that date will be charged a rush fee. As a complimentary service to my portrait clients I will provide a fully retouched digital file to Tiny Prints, Minted and Fine Stationery for cards provided an 8 x 10 portrait or larger of that file has been purchased.

If you wish to use a different company for your cards, files may be purchased on a limited use basis for $100 provided an 8 x 10 portrait or larger of that file has been purchased. For my weddings clients, I will gift you a fully retouched digital file for your holiday cards. I just love these designs for press printed and photo holiday cards!

I will be out of the studio from Wednesday, November 24 until Monday, November 29 to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Please email me at louise@louiseconover.com if you have any questions!

Something new…

I’m delighted to say with this change of season from winter to spring comes an unexpected, yet welcome change in my business which I’m embracing with joy, hope and optimism. It’s amazing how unforeseen events in our lives can turn into wonderful opportunities!
Happily, it all comes at a time after I’ve spent many, many years raising my four sons and now that they’ve become independent young men I’ll be able to devote that much more time to my work. I’ve got lots of work to do because I have so many ideas, so I’ll officially unveil the details in a couple of weeks! I’m so excited!

INTIMATE WEDDINGS | SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL!

I LOVE photographing weddings! I’ve decided to focus on small intimate weddings with an à la carte pricing structure! Your wedding day~your way! I’ve photographed so many different types of weddings through the years! From an extravagant wedding in Spring Lake, New Jersey with 38 bridal attendants and 350 guests to a small, elegant, and intimate wedding in New Orleans with 75 guests. I must say there is something very special about small intimate weddings! With the recent economic downturn, small intimate weddings have become very popular because they allow couples to share their day with those they love most without breaking their piggy banks! I’ll post some very pretty images from my small intimate destination wedding in New Orleans soon! Also, I’m currently revamping my website to showcase some of my new products and wonderful wedding images!

I’ve recently have had the pleasure of chatting with, Christina Friedrichsen, author of Intimate Weddings: Planning a Small Wedding that Fits Your Budget and Style, which she wrote after planning her own 50-guest wedding because she wants other brides to feel confident in their decision to have an intimate wedding – even if their ideas are not traditional. Her website, IntimateWeddings.com, and blog, Intimate Weddings Blog, are overflowing with resources for planning a small wedding, as well as Real Weddings and lots of imaginative and inspired DIY wedding ideas that help to reduce costs and still create a cozy and beautiful event. A must read is Christina’s Top Ten Reasons to Have a Small Wedding!

On another note, Christina is a sea glass fanatic! In fact, she’s “bloody obsessed” and has a blog (yes, another one!) devoted to her obsession Sea Glass Rocks! Her photos are absolutely stunning and she delightfully recounts how she she fell in love with sea glass! She even has a recipe for Sea Glass Candy! I told her of a huge jug of sea glass that I inherited from my mother-in-law Gail and she warned me that I might fall in love with collecting too! My sister-in-law Karen shared that Gail was collecting well before she first met her in 1973. I’m looking forward to removing some of the sea glass from the jug to see what treasures are buried!

I know I’m a little late, but Happy New Year! 2009 was a wonderful year and I’m so grateful to have captured so many of your special moments. I wish you a 2010 filled with love and joy! I’m SO excited for this new year! Personally, my family will be celebrating two college graduations and one high school graduation! WOOHOO! It’s going to be such a very busy spring! Professionally, I plan on offering a unique wedding service that will appeal to many couples, and I’ll also have some beautiful new products to showcase, so make sure to check back in the next few days for the announcements!

As I was tucking my Christmas ornaments into their box I was reminded of how much I love to to find ornaments for everyone! Sickles Market has the best selection! I’m always there for hours choosing because Mike has such a great variety ranging from beautiful classic glass ornaments Merck Family’s Old World Christmas Glass Ornaments (pictured below Grizzly Bear, Bull Pup, I Love You heart, Panda) to delightful and amusing December Diamonds which is owned by Scott Nielsen who happens to be an avid diver and photographer. Check out his site Great Bizarre Reef. My older two sons thought I was absolutley crazy last Christmas when they went into their stockings and found Blaze and Mr. Martini. I couldn’t resist! LOL!

Every year my Mom buys all of her grandchildren an ornament and this year for my boys she found very sweet silver heart locket ornaments (next to Panda). So pretty! My favorite ornament of the season has to be the 2009 Festive Hearts by Swarovski which I gave to my my husband and my Mom. I love the magical light effects that are created when its placed in direct sunlight.

So, Moms, if you’re like me and always being the one who’s taking the pictures, I’ve decided to offer Mother’s Day mini-sessions that will capture your special relationship between you and your children. It’s a perfect opportunity for you to get from behind the camera and be photographed in a fun and casual way with your family.
The mini-session fee is $150 and includes a 30 minute on location session at either at Victory Park in Rumson or at a beach in Sea Bright between now and June1, 2009 and 15-20 images on a private online gallery.
